AUS10 and AUS10Co steels are improved versions of the legendary AUS8, well-known among bladesmiths and loved by knifemakers.
AUS10 and AUS10Co steels are improved versions of the legendary AUS8, well-known among bladesmiths. They feature the highest carbon content within the AUS family (AUS6, AUS8, AUS10). Thanks to the addition of cobalt, these steels can be heat-treated at higher temperatures. With proper heat treatment, blades made of these steels reach a hardness of 60 HRC, outperforming 440C while maintaining high corrosion resistance.
