A Swedish stainless steel produced by Alleima (formerly Sandvik), created specifically for cutting blades. In knifemaking, it is valued for its corrosion resistance, a hardness of 57-59 HRC, and ease of sharpening. It is characterized by a chemical composition (0.62% carbon, 14% chromium, 0.11% nitrogen) that provides an excellent balance between hardness and corrosion resistance.
