Description
Practical urban folder with a clip from SOG. Drop point blade made of 8Cr13 stainless steel, featuring a combo cutting edge (a 28 mm serrated section) and a partial hollow grind. At the base of the blade, there is an elliptical thumb hole (Spyderco holds the patent for round ones) for one-handed deployment. Back lock mechanism. Handle scales made of black ballistic nylon (fiberglass-reinforced polymer). The knife features a pocket clip but does not come with any sheath or pouch. The knife is enclosed in a plastic blister pack.
The product was designed by SOG (SOG Specialty Knives & Tools), a company specializing in military, tactical, and survival knives. The company's name itself is a nod to the elite special operations unit that operated in Vietnam from 1964 to 1972 (Studies and Observations Group). It used to be an American company, but in 2021 it was acquired by GSM Outdoors corporation, owner of brands like Cold Steel, among others. Production has been entirely moved to China, Taiwan, and Japan.
