Description
A beautiful AUS10Co steel pocket knife designed by American stylist Jason Breeden, very clearly referencing Japanese motifs. The satin-finished blade is reminiscent of Japanese tanto swords or naginata points. Partially flat grind. The rhombus pattern on the red and black G10 polymer handle scales refers to the decorations of katana handles. The whole thing is topped with a clip with a drawing of a (naturally) cherry blossom. Liner lock mechanism. A thumb stud at the base of the blade for one-handed opening (protruding from both sides, so also for left-handed people). Unfortunately, the knife opens quite hard using the thumb stud, and opening it with both hands is difficult because the blade almost completely disappears into the handle scales.
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers known widely beyond the borders of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, except that today they have the most modern programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces.
