Whisper D2
Description
A beautiful D2 steel pocket knife designed by American stylist Jason Breeden, clearly referencing Japanese motifs. The profile of the blade is reminiscent of Japanese tanto daggers or naginata spearheads. Partially flat grind, surface finish Tac Wash. The rhombus pattern on the black G10 polymer handle scales alludes to the decorations on katana hilts. The whole is topped off with a clip featuring a (naturally) cherry blossom design. D2 steel hardened to 59-62 HRC. Liner lock. Thumb stud for one-handed opening (protruding from both sides, thus also suitable for left-handed users). The blade is on bearings.
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers known far beyond the borders of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, but today they have access to the most modern programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces.
