Waryag (layered damascus)
Description
A knife with a blade of the Varyag profile, made of three packages of carbon steel forged together. The technology of connecting the packages, much more laborious and demanding true blacksmithing skills, apart from the exceptional aesthetic qualities of the products created thanks to it, has a very utilitarian sense. The point is that a softer steel is selected for the part of the blade on the back side of the package, and a harder steel on the blade side. As a result, a blade with better cutting properties and more flexible can be obtained. The outer packages of Damascus steel are separated from each other by a strip of nickel-patterned steel. The knife has a beautiful handle made of stabilized wood and white acrylic, finished on both sides with melchior castings. Leather sheath with a snap button fastening.
