Waryag (damascus, stabilized karelian birch handle beige)
Description
Damascus knife with a Varyag-style blade. The bolster and pommel are made of nickel silver. The blade has undergone additional processing involving repeated acid etching. As a result, in addition to the natural pattern of Damascus steel created by the forging of carbon steels, a pattern of chaotically intersecting light lines has been applied. The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch - one of the more expensive types of stabilized wood. These handles are processed, the exact process of which is a secret of each manufacturer. As a result, the handles are given an unnatural color, emphasizing the unique grain pattern. In addition to the aesthetic value, these handles have the advantage that they do not absorb water at all. Since no two handles are identical, photos of each of these knives are taken anew for each copy.
