Waryag D2 (stabilized karelian birch handle)
Description
Knife made of D2 steel with a Varyag-profile blade. Massive head (almost 4 mm thick at the head) with a straight back and hollow grind. At the base of the blade you can see the manufacturer's logo and the inscription "Ручная работа D2". The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch - one of the more expensive varieties of stabilized wood. These handles are processed, the exact process of which is the secret of each manufacturer. As a result, the handle is given an unnatural color, emphasizing the unique grain pattern. In addition to their aesthetic value, these handles have the advantage that they do not absorb water at all. Due to the fact that no two handles are identical, photos of each knife are taken anew for each item.
