Viper Knife Tanto
Description
A very successful small urban EDC, one of First Tactical's flagship products. The units I have are the end of the series - the model is sold out in most stores. The knives were described everywhere as follows: "The compact and durable AUS8 steel blade makes it the most precise folding knife in the First Tactical offer. The blade is equipped with the innovative Thumb Bridge technology and the handles are covered with a special texture ensuring a secure grip, making opening the knife takes fractions of a second, even when wearing gloves. The Locking Liner blade lock additionally ensures safety. A short, massive blade and a large handle with a two-position mounting clip make it an ideal utility knife".
Everything is true, but the Viper is a very small knife, it is not intended for fighting and it really does not matter how quickly it opens. Its advantage is its small size. It is a really solid folder with a size that allows you to carry it with you literally everywhere without drawing attention (it weighs 54 grams) without risking much, even in countries where the police can throw you to the ground for a Swiss army knife. I don't know why (I don't think it's just a feature of the units I have) but the descriptions didn't mention that the Viper has a hidden plastic sharpened scraper for cleaning (visible in my last photos).
