Utinaya okhota
Description
This knife, made by the Vityaz company, features a blade made of 65x13 steel, which is a medium-hard (approx. 56 HRC) stainless steel, a Russian analogue of 420 steel. The knife belongs to the "bichak" style popular in the Caucasus: single-edged blades with a straight spine, handles with a round cross-section, and no guard. In this version, the handle is made of an exotic red wood, decorated on one side with a carved image of a duck hunt. The bolster and pommel are made of brass. The blade has a full hollow grind, and a straight spine with a minimal drop at the tip.
One side of the blade is laser-engraved with the inscription: "Утиная Охота" (Duck Hunt) and the manufacturer's logo, while the other side is marked with the steel grade: "Сталь 65x13". The sheath is a Finnish-style, slip-on type made of Kapron.
