Universal 1 (pattern welded damascus, elk horn handle)
Description
A knife from the Marushyny brothers workshop, with a blade profile that the manufacturer named "Universal" – a name I find rather unfortunate, as it suggests a universal character, while it is a typical military knife, i.e., intended for combat, mainly for stabbing. For three-quarters of its length, the cutting edge and the back are straight and run parallel. High, minimally concave grind from the blade side. The back is partially ground at a section of 9.5 cm from the tip, which results in a stiletto-like aggressive thrust. The handle is made of elk horn and finished with nickel silver castings. A Finnish-type sheath, smooth, made of good, thick leather.
