Tukan bystroryez (wood and leather handle)
Description
A knife from the "Bystroryez" series. The handle is foldable, made of two pieces of black wood (hornbeam), between which rings of black leather strung on a tang are compressed. The handle, on the blade side, ends with an ornamental melchior fitting; on the other side there is a screw with a hole allowing for attachment of a wrist strap. The blade is straight, drop point type, with a stylet point (the back is ground to a false edge) and a gentle slope from the back along an almost straight line towards the tip. Partially concave grind. Under the handle, at the base of the blade, a manufacturer's monogram and the inscription: "ОКСКИЕ НОЖИ сталь Р12 КОВАНАЯ"The knife belongs to the newer series of products made of R12 steel from this manufacturer. Previously, the iron oxide anti-corrosion coating was sandblasted. Currently, sandblasting has been abandoned, giving the blade a smoothed finish. In my opinion, such a blade is more aesthetically pleasing, but it's a matter of taste. The coating is also more durable. Blade hardness 65-67 HRC.
