Traper (handle made of stabilized Karelian birch)
Description
A hunting knife made of Damascus steel, featuring a drop point blade with a straight spine tapering towards the tip. At the base of the blade, there is a blunted finger choil. It has a partial concave grind. The handle, finished with decorative bolsters on both sides, is crafted from stabilized Karelian birch, one of the more expensive varieties of stabilized wood. These handles undergo a treatment process, the exact details of which are a secret to each manufacturer. As a result, an unnatural color is imparted, emphasizing the unique grain pattern. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these handles offer the advantage of being completely impervious to water. The knife comes with a leather, slip-in, Finnish-style sheath.
