Tizon
Description
A large, massive field knife in a full tang design with a high flat grind from the Spanish company Cuchilleria Forester. A wide (35 mm) and 15.5 cm long drop point blade with a thickness of 5 mm on the head, made of 1.4116 stainless steel, qualifies Tizon into the category of survival knives. It will withstand everything, but there is also a flip side - the knife weighs 370 gr (585 gr with the sheath). Tang covers made of pressed jute with three screws. The blade is engraved with the J&V Adventure Knives emblem (a trademark of the Cuchilleria Forester factory), the inscription "Tizon" and the steel marking: 14116. A solid two-position leather sheath.
Forester is one of the few old Spanish manufacturers that has resisted pressure to move production to China. The knives are still not only designed but also manufactured in the Forester factory in Albacete, Spain.
