Tiger
Description
A beautiful, large-sized hunting knife made of D2 steel from Kizlyar of Dagestan. It belongs to the group of so-called author's knives, which are produced in shorter series of decorated gift knives. The massive D2 steel blade, hardened to 60-62 HRC, features an eastern profile with an aggressive point and a wave-shaped cutting edge. It has a high hollow grind. The handle, made of fine black hornbeam and covered with fine grooves, is finished on both sides with massive metal castings: a bolster and a tiger-head-shaped pommel. A finger choil at the base of the blade just below the handle and an unsharpened section on the spine allow for a forward grip when more precise knife handling is necessary.
Below the handle, the blade is inscribed with "Тигр D-2", and on the other side "Кизляр сделано в России" and the manufacturer's logo. The sheath is made of black leather with a snap button closure.
