Tetyeryev
Description
A hunting knife manufactured by the AiR company from Zlatoust, made of 95x18 steel, which is a high-quality stainless steel, the Russian equivalent of 440B steel. When producing knives from stainless steel, the quality of the mechanical and thermal treatment technology is no less important than the quality of the material itself. 95X18 is a material where this principle is most fully manifested. The prices of knives made from this steel can differ dramatically depending on the manufacturer. AiR is one of the oldest companies specializing in knife production in Zlatoust, a place known for its centuries-old blacksmithing tradition. All knives are sold with sheaths and are packaged in soft fabric cases.
The Teteriev is a not-too-long knife with a full flat grind. Between the handle and the blade, there is an ellipsoidal metal guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the edge. The handle is made of Karelian birch. The handle is soaked in an oil solution but is not vacuum stabilized. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for a lanyard or a wrist loop. The sheath is made of black leather with a "silent" snap closure.
