Tanto (layered damascus, bone handle and sheath)
Description
A tanto-profile knife made from two Damascus steel packets forged together. It's visually apparent that thespine packet has fewer layers than the cutting edge packet, increasing cutting aggression. The packet-joining technology, far more labor-intensive and demanding true blacksmithing skill, besides the exceptional aesthetic qualities of the resulting products, has a very utilitarian purpose. The point is that the packet intended for the spine side of the blade uses softer steel, while the cutting edge side uses harder steel. As a result, a blade with better cutting properties and greater flexibility can be obtained. The knife has a handle and sheath made of leather, wood, and bone, decorated with burning.
