Taiga (gilded pattern welded damascus, stabilized wood handle brown)
Description
A hunting knife manufactured by Zlatoust, made of forged damask steel. Zlatoust damask steel is distinguished by its high quality and exceptional aesthetics. The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch, one of the more expensive types of stabilized wood, and capped on both ends with pieces of textolite. At the end of the handle there is a hole allowing for the attachment of a lanyard or wrist strap. The beautiful, massive clip point blade with a partially ground back and a 7-centimeter saw is decorated on one side with a gold-plated (galvanic method) drawing. On the other side, under the handle, on the blade, there is a gold-plated inscription: "Росоружие Златоуст" and the manufacturer's logo, applied using the same method. The handle is devoid of a guard on the blade side; the blade at the base has blunted areas for the thumb and index finger on both the blade and back sides. The sheath is made of black leather, with the manufacturer's logo and the inscription Златоуст embossed on it.
Zlatoust is one of several Russian knife manufacturers well-known beyond the borders of Russia. It boasts a centuries-old tradition in the production of bladed weapons. The gold plating, in which the Ural Zlatoust is the undisputed leader among Russian companies, looks exceptionally good on dark damask steel blades.
