Description
Small hunting knife on a Finnish pattern. Approximately halfway through the blade, the ridge runs parallel to the cutting edge, then falls off towards the tip. This piece of the ridge on the blade has been polished at both sides by the sharpening steel, which is a characteristic feature of Russian military knives. The blade made of AUS 8 steel (hardness 57-59 HRC) mounted in a wooden handle (walnut) in a "hidden tang" scheme. Under the handle there is the inscription "Кизляр Сделано в России AUS-8" and a hologram. On the other side of the blade there is the inscription"Странник" and the logo of the manufacturer. The scabbard is made of leather, smooth, of Finnish type, with the Kizlyar logo imprinted.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one the few Russian knife manufacturers known widely beyond the borders of Russia. Kizlyar boasts a combination of old Caucasian traditions of craftsmen specialized in producing edged weapons and modern technology production.
