Stalker (leather handle)
Description
A light hunting knife manufactured by Zlatoust, made of stainless steel. A very light handle (leather rings placed on a metal pin and squeezed between two pieces of textolite) combined with a short blade makes the knife as light as a feather. There is a hole at the end of the handle that allows you to attach a lanyard or wrist loop. At the base of the blade there is a small guard that protects, to some extent, against your hand sliding onto the blade. Short drop point blade, high hollow grind. Under the handle, on the blade side, there is a recess for the index finger. There is an inscription on the blade: "Росоружие Златоуст"", the manufacturer's logo and steel brand designation according to the Russian nomenclature (95х18). Leather sheath, black, with the manufacturer's logo and name embossed on the back loop.
The Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside Russia. It boasts several hundred years of tradition in the production of cold weapons. Gilding, in which the Uralic Zlatoust is the undisputed leader among Russian companies, looks exceptionally well on dark damascus blades.
