Spas-2 (birch bark handle, gilding)
Description
A field knife with a military style - the first batch of Spas-2 was produced on order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation (МЧС РФ). Made of high-quality 95x18 stainless steel. Hardness 56-58 HRC. Very light handle made of bark rings, finished with a ring on one side and a textolite head on the other. A spear point blade with a high hollow grind. Under the handle, on the blade, there is an inscription: ""Росоружие Zlatoust"", manufacturer's logo and steel brand: 95x18. The other side of the blade is decorated with an engraved and gold-plated drawing with hunting motifs. A 6 cm ball on the head. There is a hole at the end of the handle that allows you to attach a lanyard or wrist loop. Leather sheath, black, military type (with a frog), with the manufacturer's logo and the inscription "Златоуст" embossed on the loop. The knife makes a great gift and could be said to be very practical, if it weren't for the fact that it is simply too pretty to use.
The Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside Russia. It boasts several hundred years of tradition in the production of cold weapons.
