Serbian cleaver
Description
Field cleaver-hatchet by Kizlyar in the style of Balkan kitchen tools of this type. It will prove useful not only in the kitchen, where it will replace a vegetable knife and a meat cleaver, but also in more demanding terrain during a hunting expedition or a camping trip somewhere along a kayaking route. Made of AUS8 steel in a full-tang design with walnut handle scales. It has a flat grind starting at approximately 1/3 of the height from the cutting edge. Above the grind line, the blade surface is left unfinished for purely aesthetic reasons. The blade features a hologram confirming it is an authentic Kizlyar product, the manufacturer's logo, and the text "Кизляр Сделано в России" (Kizlyar Made in Russia) and, on the other side, "Сербский" (Serbian) and the manufacturer's logo. It comes with a solid leather cap sheath with a snap button closure.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known beyond Russia's borders. Kizlyar prides itself on combining the ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in blade manufacturing with new production technologies.
