Sensei (D2)
Description
Sensei is Kizlyar Supreme offering for fans of Japanese aesthetics. One of the longest knives in their offer, it also has a shorter version called Senpai. The 22-centimeter blade resembles in profile long knives (or short swords)wakizashi. And that's basically where the Japanese influence on Sensei ends, as the rest is kept in a utilitarian European style: a full tang handle with covers identical to all knives from the model linetactical echelonproduced by Kizlyar Supreme. A sheath made of strong polyamide withteklokmounting allowing the knife to be carried in any position, including horizontally or with the handle down. D2 steel hardened in the range of 60-61 HRC. TacWash blade finish.
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers known widely beyond the borders of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the work of artisans who have been making knives for generations, except that today they have access to the most modern programmable machining centers and multi-chamber hardening furnaces.
