Senpai (olive handle and sheath)

The Senpai is a compact version of the well known Sensei knife, also produced by Kizlyar Supreme. It is a tactical knife from the Tactical Echelon series. Their handles feature a characteristic profile ensuring a secure grip with both a bare hand and in gloves. They are made from a combination of Kraton (a thermoplastic polymer rubber with high resistance to cracking and abrasion) and ABS (a hard, impact resistant polymer) with a textured finish. The point of the blade is raised slightly above the spine line. It features a high hollow grind, and the spine is ground to a false edge along almost its entire length. The steel is AUS-8 hardened to a range of 57-59 HRC. The blade has a Stonewash finish. The olive sheath is made of durable polyamide with a mounting system that allows the knife to be carried in any position, including horizontally or handle down.

The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the manual work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, except that today they have the most modern programmable machining centers and multi-chamber hardening furnaces.
