Senpai (black handle and sheath)
Description
Senpai is a shortened version of the well-known Sensei knife, also manufactured by Kizlyar Supreme. A tactical knife from the Tactical Echelon line. Their handles have a characteristic profile providing a good grip both barehanded and with gloves. They are made of a combination of Kraton (a thermoplastic polymer rubber with high resistance to cracking and abrasion) and ABS (a hard, impact-resistant polymer) with a grainy texture. The tip of the blade is raised minimally above the spine. High concave grind, the ricasso is ground along almost the entire length but not to a full false edge. AUS8 steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. Stone Wash blade finish. Black sheath made of strong polyamide with a mounting allowing the knife to be carried in any position, including horizontally or with the handle down.
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers known widely outside of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, but today they have access to the most modern programmable machining centers and multi-chamber hardening furnaces.
