Scout (walnut wood handle)
Description
Hunting knife made of damascus steel. "Scout" has 136 mm long drop point blade with sabre grind. Handle made of selected walnut wood with cast metal bolsters on both ends.
Contemporary russian damascus steel is obtained by forge-welding together several pieces of carbon steel with different carbon content. As there is no chromium added in the process the blades are not stainless and recquire proper care: should be wiped after use and, when back at home, oiled and kept in a dry place. The knife comes with a leather sheath.
These knives are hand made pieces, sizes of the same profile blades may slightly differ.
