Scout (birch bark-hornbeam handle)
Description
A pattern welded damascus knife with a handle made of birch bark. Rings of bark are threaded onto the tang and compressed between two pieces of wood, in this case, black hornbeam, which contrasts with the light-colored birch. This handle construction, very lightweight and practical, is often found in Finnish knives. Such a knife, especially if it is not additionally weighted down by a metal guard or pommel, is light and, with a good blade, can be operated effortlessly. The handle is finished with a wooden guard at the blade end. A very aesthetic, brown leather sheath with an embossed drawing.
