Samur (black blade)
Description
A solid stainless steel field knife. The Samur has a massive drop point blade with a false edge on the spine near the tip. At the end, the blade expands slightly downwards, which on the one hand increases the aggression of cutting when pulling the knife towards oneself, and on the other hand, shifts the center of gravity of the knife towards the tip, which is important when chopping. The blade is made of blackened AUS8 steel hardened to 55-57 HRC, a bit lower than possible (AUS8 can easily be hardened to 57-59 HRC), probably so that it doesn't crumble when chopping. Partially hollow grind. Hidden tang, coated with black elastomer. Solid metal bolster with a guard.
Under the handle on the blade the inscription "Кизляр Сделано в России" and a hologram. On the other side of the blade the manufacturer's logo and the inscription "Самур". Smooth sheath, made of black leather with a plastic insert and a silent closure. The knife sits very tightly in the sheath, it is difficult to remove it, on the other hand, it can be safely attached to a backpack with the handle down – it will definitely not fall out.
Kizlyar prides itself on combining the old traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in the production of edged weapons and new production technologies.
