Samoyed N690
Description
A new knife (added to the Kizlyar Supreme offer in 2021) made of N690 powder steel with a hardness of 61-62 HRC. The Samoyed is a laconic knife designed in the style of northern peoples' knives. The smooth handle transitions into the blade without a guard, crossguard, or any protrusion that would prevent the hand from slipping onto the edge. It features a short blade with a straight spine and a partial flat grind. The walnut handle has a lanyard hole in the pommel. The blade has a stonewash finish.
Includes a Finnish-style leather sheath with embossed "Samoyed" and "KIZLYAR SUPREME" lettering.

The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the handiwork of artisans who have been making knives for generations, except that today they have the most modern programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces at their disposal.
