Saiga
Description
A simple and very practical hunting knife from Kizlyar. It features a trailing point blade with the tip rising minimally above the spine. The knife has a full flat grind. The handle is made of Elastron. The blade has a hologram that confirms its authenticity as a Kizlyar product, along with the inscription "Кизляр Сделано в России AUS8" and on the other side, "Сайга" (Russian for "saiga," a species of antelope) and the manufacturer's logo. The knife comes with a black leather sheath with the Kizlyar logo embossed on it.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar prides itself on combining the ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen, who specialized in producing bladed weapons, with modern production technologies.
