Raptor XL (grey micarta handle)
Description
Survival pocket knife with a wide blade. It belongs to a series of large-sized (and heavy) folding knives whose main advantages are durability and reliability. Raptors and Titans have solid, 4 (and in the XL version - 5) millimeter blades, expanding at the end, and micarta handle covers. Expanding the blade at the tip (especially in the heavier XL models) causes the center of gravity to move towards the tip and you can use it not only to cut but also to chop. Partial hollow grinds. The blade is engraved with the J&V Adventure Knives emblem (trade brand of the Cuchilleria Forester factory), the inscription "Raptor-XL" and the steel marking: MV-58. Liner lock. The kapron sheath, closed with a fastener, is not only multi-positional, i.e. it can be worn on a belt in a vertical or horizontal position, but also compatible with the MOLLE attachment system.
Forester is one of the few old Spanish manufacturers that has resisted pressure to move production to China. The knives are still not only designed but also manufactured in the Forester factory in Albacete, Spain.
