Ranger Puukko M07 (80CRV2, blackened blade, coyote handle and sheath)

The Ranger Puukko M07 is one of the three basic models from the Peltonen "puukko" family, being slightly shorter than the M95. Like the other models, it is released in various material and color options, but they all share the same concept of a highly utilitarian and durable knife. Like most sensible knives, the M07 is as simple as a hammer. It features 80CRV2 carbon steel, which is prone to corrosion but offers high impact strength, durability, and ease of sharpening. The hardness is rated at 59 HRC. The blade has a classic puukko profile: a drop point with a minimal slope at the tip. The spine and cutting edge are straight and parallel. It has a partial flat grind and a thin-film ceramic coating for anti-corrosion and anti-reflection properties. The knife includes the classic Peltonen composite sheath and a thermoplastic handle in a coyote color. The knife fits tightly in the sheath, so if one insists, it can be carried handle-down. The sheath is attached using the included Velcro strap, which is a smart solution as it offers greater adjustment possibilities.
