Ranger Cub M23 (orange kydex sheath)

The Ranger Cub M23 is the smallest of the Peltonen knives, designed for both belt and neck carry. It is not a traditional puukko but rather a small utility knife, sized as an EDC (Everyday Carry) knife that can also be carried discreetly in the city. Like other knives from this manufacturer, it is released in various material and color options, but they all share the same concept of a maximally utilitarian and durable knife. The blade is made from 80CRV2 carbon steel – which is prone to corrosion but offers high impact strength, durability, and ease of sharpening. The knife features a differentially hardened blade with a cutting edge hardness of 62 HRC and a spine hardness of 59 HRC. The blade has a triangular profile with a partial flat grind. In this version, the knife does not have a ceramic anti-corrosion coating. The handle is made of thermoplastic, and the sheath is made of kydex, both in orange color. The knife fits tightly in the sheath, allowing it to be carried on a belt or hung around the neck with the handle facing down.
