Puma bystroryez (stabilized wood handle violet)
Description
A knife from the "Bystroryez" series. Handle made of stabilized wood.A selected piece of wood undergoes processing, the exact process of which is a secret of each manufacturer. As a result, the handles are given an unnatural color, emphasizing the unique grain pattern. Besides the aesthetic value, these handles have the advantage that they do not absorb water at all.The handle is finished on both sides with decorative melchior fittings, the pommel has a loop allowing for attaching a wrist strap. Drop point blade with a drop towards the tip along a straight line starting at 3/5 of the length and a partially concave grind. Under the handle, at the base of the blade, a manufacturer's monogram and the inscription are laser-engraved: "ОКСКИЕ НОЖИ сталь Р12 КОВАНАЯ". The knife belongs to the newer series of products made of R12 steel from this manufacturer. Previously, the iron oxide anti-corrosion coating was sandblasted. Currently, sandblasting has been abandoned, giving the blade a smoothed finish. In my opinion, such a blade is more aesthetically pleasing, but it's a matter of taste. The coating is also more durable. Blade hardness 65-67 HRC.
