Description
This hunting knife, produced by the AiR company from Zlatoust, is made of 95X18 steel, a high-quality stainless steel which is the Russian equivalent of 440C steel. When manufacturing stainless steel knives, the quality of the mechanical and thermal treatment technology is just as important as the quality of the material itself. 95X18 is a material where this principle is most fully manifested. The prices of knives made from this steel can vary dramatically depending on the manufacturer. AiR is one of the oldest companies specializing in knife production in Zlatoust, a place known for its centuries-old blacksmithing tradition. All knives are sold with sheaths and are packaged in soft fabric cases.
The Pilgrim model features a full flat grind and a lightweight wooden handle. The sheath is a black, Finnish-style, slip-in leather sheath.
