Phantom (G10 handle)
Description
Another variant (different from the previous ones due to the black titanium blade coating) of the newest penknife from NOKS's T series. T stands for "techno," but in the case of the Phantom, D for "design" would be more appropriate, because the knife turned out to be truly "designer." It is currently the most expensive NOKS penknife, although not the largest – the Kuguar is considerably cheaper and has a 7 mm longer blade, also made of D2 steel. Phantoms are currently being released with two handle variants. Both handles are double-layered. The cheaper variant features orange G10 on black G10, while the more expensive one has G10 on black carbon fiber. This makes the knives relatively light for their size, weighing approximately 150 g. Of course, both are on bearings. The blades in both variants are identical – very aggressive, with a near-triangular profile and almost full flat grind. D2 steel with a hardness of 61 HRC. Side lock blade lock. No sheath. There is a clip, but it is mounted on one side only, without the possibility of attaching it to the other side of the handle. Like the entire T series, the Phantom was designed by Aleksandr Biriukov.
