Pecheneg
Description
A simple field knife with a wooden handle featuring a full tang construction. The straight blade has a tip with a minimal rise above the spine line and a partial hollow grind. The tang scales are made of walnut. The blade features a hologram confirming it is an authentic Kizlyar product, along with the inscription "Кизляр Сделано в России AUS8" and, on the other side, "Печенег" (The Pechenegs were a confederation of nomadic tribes that settled on the southern border of Russia at the end of the first millennium AD) and the manufacturer's logo. The blade has a stone wash finish. It includes a black leather sheath with an embossed Kizlyar logo.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar prides itself on combining the ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen, who specialized in creating bladed weapons, with new production technologies.
