Oprychnik
Description
A Damascus hunting knife with a wide, massive blade. Partially concave grind, wavy cutting edge with a recess in the middle of the blade, above which the blade widens again towards the point. Lightweight composite handle made of wenge wood pieces and birch bark rings. Between the handle and the blade, a massive decorative bolster with a ricasso. The shape of the blade and the lack of a weighted bolster on the handle pommel means that the knife's center of gravity is very clearly shifted towards the point, like a machete. Brown leather sheath with a silent-closing strap above the ricasso.
