Description
A hunting knife from the renowned Zlatoust company, made of 95x18 steel. This is a high-quality stainless steel, hardened to 56-58 HRC. The blade is massive (5 mm thickness at the spine) with a curved finger groove on the spine and a slightly smaller choil on the cutting edge side. The spine is straight, tapering towards the tip in a straight line, with a false edge ground along its entire length. The grind is a partial hollow grind. One side of the blade features the inscription: "Росоружие Златоуст" with the manufacturer's logo. The steel type designation is visible at the very base of the blade: 95x18. The handle is made of stacked leather rings on the tang, finished on both ends with textolite pieces - the pommel and the bolster. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for a lanyard or a wrist loop. The sheath is smooth, black leather, embossed with the manufacturer's logo and the inscription "Росоружие Златоуст". The knife is very handsome but quite heavy – 264 g without the sheath.
The Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. It prides itself on a centuries-old tradition in the production of bladed weapons.
