NR-19
Description
A new Kizlyar field knife model with an American tanto profile. Probably for purely marketing reasons, the knife's name refers to the iconic NR knives – military knives used in the Red Army from the beginning of the 1940s. Similar (in everything except the blade profile) to the NR-18 model from the same manufacturer: hidden tang design (wide tang encased in Elastron), AUS8 steel with a hardness of 57-59 HRC. SimilarThe abbreviation NR stands forreconnaissance knife(нож разведчика).These knives remained in military service long after the war. While the NR-18 itself is not an exact replica (the clipped point profile typical of the original NR knives has been replaced with a drop point with a stylet-like point), the NR-19 has nothing in common with the original. Blackened blade, high hollow grind. Handle made of black Elastron, sheath made of ABS.
