Muromets
Description
A knife with an original grind, featuring a handle made of walnut and birch bark. The bark rings are strung onto the tang and compressed between two pieces of wood. This handle construction, very lightweight and practical, is often found in Finnish knives. Such a knife, especially if not additionally weighted with a metal guard or pommel, is light and, with a good blade, operates without any effort. The Muromiec has a wide blade with a bowie profile, but unlike the classic bowie, the cutting edge is not straight but wave-shaped. Partially concave grind.
