Leopard
Description
Heavy hunting knife made of D2 steel manufactured by Kizlyar from Dagestan. The blade is made of D2 steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC. A massive blade with a partially hollow grind. Taking into account the weight of the blade (Leopard without the sheath weighs 294 grams), Leopard is suitable for cutting and chopping. There are blunt fragments at the base of the blade, allowing the knifee grip to be moved forward onto the blade. In this position, the center of gravity is between the index finger on the bottom and the thumb on the back, which allows for more precise operation of the blade. Wooden handle, probably made of walnut, smooth, weighted with decorative brass castings.
Under the handle, on the blade, there is an inscription "Леопард D-2", on the other "Кизляр сделано в России" and the manufacturer's logo. Leather Finnish type sheath, black.
Kizlyar boasts a combination of ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in the production of cold weapons and new production technologies.
