Legionary (walnut wood handle)
Description
Hunting knife made of damascus steel. "Legionary" has very popular profile: spine dropping in a direct line to the point, sabre grind, a finger size choil under the quillon. Handle made of selected walnut wood with cast metal bolsters on both ends.
Contemporary russian damascus steel is obtained by forge-welding together several pieces of carbon steel with different carbon content. As there is no chromium added in the process the blades are not stainless and recquire proper care: should be wiped after use and, when back at home, oiled and kept in a dry place. The knife comes with a leather sheath.
These knives are hand made pieces, sizes of the same profile blades may slightly differ.
