Leader (stabilized karelian birch handle)
Description
A knife with a clip point blade, a type used in combat knives designed for stabbing. The blade has undergone additional processing involving repeated acid etching. As a result, in addition to the natural damask pattern created by forging carbon steels, a pattern of chaotically intersecting light lines has been applied. The bolster and butt are made of nickel silver. The handle is made of two pieces of stabilized Karelian birch, one of the more expensive types of stabilized wood, separated by a light oblique polymer insert. The wood undergoes processing; the exact process is a secret of each manufacturer. As a result, the handles are given an unnatural color, emphasizing the unique grain pattern. In addition to the aesthetic value, these handles have the advantage of being completely non-absorbent. Since no two handles are identical, photos of each knife are taken anew for each copy.
