Kissaki
Description
Tanto dagger designed by Martinez Albainox. It belongs to the Tokisu model line, which includes products that in some way refer to the Japanese tradition. The knife is very similar to the Musashi model, but differs in its longer length. The blade has an almost 100% classic Japanese kissaki-moroha profile, almost because there is no convex cut to be completely convergent (here we have a high flat grind). Steel bolt, simple, Japanese type (tsuba), but without decorations. Rubber handle, black ABS sheath. Generally speaking, it is a practical, although quite large, field knife in a Japanese style.
The Tokisu brand belongs to the Spanish company Martinez Albainox, once one of the largest knife manufacturers in Spain. Today, Albainox still designs its own knives, grouped into several registered model lines, but has moved almost all production to China. However, these are still branded products, which means that there is someone who cares about their quality. In such a system, the place of production ceases to be a disadvantage and becomes an advantage, because it allows us to offer an excellent price-quality ratio. They are made of Chinese industrial steel, in this particular case it is 7Cr17MoV, which can be a great steel, close to D2 in terms of characteristics, or a worthless crap like in cheap no-name products from AliExpress.
