Katran
Description
Heavy full tang field knife with micarta handle scales. Blade made of blackened (oxide) AUS8 steel, hardened to 55-57 HRC, a bit lower than possible (AUS8 can easily be hardened to 57-59 HRC), probably to prevent chipping during chopping. Partially concave grind. Wavy cutting edge. Tang visible, with micarta scales on three screws. Lanyard or wrist wrap hole at the end of the handle.
Under the handle on the blade the inscription "KIZLYAR Сделано в России" and a hologram. On the other side of the blade, the manufacturer's logo and the inscription"Катран".Smooth black leather sheath with a snap button fastening.
