Melita prides itself on using its own patented stainless steel (70X16МФС)surpassing other stainless steels in terms of hardness and flexibility. They also often apply camouflage coating to the blade.
Kasatka is a large-sized underwater knife with a plastic sheath and a rubber handle. The blade is camouflage-coated, with a hardness of 52-56 HRC. The net cutting saw, visible in the pictures, is 94 mm long. The rubber handle provides a comfortable grip with or without gloves. The metal pommel is flat, allowing its use as a hammer. There are holes at both ends of the handle for attaching a lanyard. The plastic sheath can be worn on a belt, leg, or arm.
