KO-2 walnut
Description
Knife from the Kizlar production with a wooden (walnut) handle and a round guard. The blade made of AUS8 steel hardened to 57-58 HRC. The KO-2 has two symmetrical cutting edges, making it a double-edge knife, which according to Russian regulations is one of the most important features, along with the thickness of the blade (4.9 mm) and the presence of crossguard, qualifying the knife as a bladed weapon. In Russia, the KO-2 has the status of a combat knife and is only available to military personnel, hunters, and law enforcement officers, as indicated by the number on the blade. When purchased, the number is entered into the military ID or work ID. On the blade there is also a hologram of the manufacturer and the inscription "Сделано в России" on the back and "KO-2" and a logo of the manufacturer. Leather sheath with a plastic insert and a quiet closing. After the start of the war in Ukraine, the Russian Federation introduced a ban on exporting numbered knives (i.e. combat knives), so when we sell out the current stock, they will be unavailable for a while.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of several Russian manufacturers of knives known abroad. Kizlyar boasts a combination of ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in making bladed weapons and new production technologies.
