Description

A boot knife style dagger with a double crossguard. The knife is designed specifically as a combat and self-defense weapon. It features a double-edged dagger blade with a spear point tip, sharpened on the top edge near the tip. The rest of the spine has serrations, though these are not sawback teeth, and may be intended for use with a fire starter. The entire blade is covered with a black, hardening titanium coating. The Elastron handle has a fully functional crossguard preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade during thrusts. The black Cordura sheath, equipped with a plastic insert, has a belt loop and an additional metal clip. Knives of this type are often carried on gear systems, for instance, strapped handle-down or concealed inside a boot.

The K25 brand belongs to the Spanish company Martinez Albainox, once one of the largest knife manufacturers in Spain. Today, Albainox still designs its own knives grouped into several registered model lines, but has moved almost all of its production to China. However, these are still branded products, which means there is someone to ensure their quality. In this arrangement, the place of production ceases to be a disadvantage and becomes an advantage, as it allows for an excellent price-to-quality ratio. Albainox knives are mostly made from Chinese industrial steels, in this specific case from 7Cr17MoV, which can be an excellent steel, close in characteristics to D2, or worthless junk like in cheap no-name products from AliExpress.
