A robust EDC folding knife from the K25 model line by Martinez Albainox. The Jacob product series also includes a large field cleaver, a fixed blade knife, and a small backup knife with a neck carry option, although in the latter case the name "Jacob" was not marked on the blade, possibly due to lack of space. All of these products share the same design style, with gray G-10 handle scales, polished blades, and blades with sections of different grind angles (where possible, the small backup knife is again the exception here). The Jacob folding knife has an 88 mm long, 3.15 mm thick drop point blade with a swedged spine (but not a full false edge) and partial grinds. Near the tip, the grind line is shorter than on the remaining part of the wave-shaped cutting edge, which results in the two different, previously mentioned grind angles. The handle with G10 scales and spacers is water-resistant and provides a secure grip, even with thick gloves. It features a liner lock and a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. It is sold with a black nylon sheath closed by a flap with a hook-and-loop fastener and a side-release buckle. In a nutshell, it is an EDC folding knife that can be carried in the city without attracting attention but has enough durability to ensure it will meet any challenge during a multi-day field expedition.

The K25 brand belongs to the Spanish company Martinez Albainox, once one of the larger knife manufacturers in Spain. Today, Albainox still designs its own knives grouped into several registered model lines but has moved almost all of its production to China. However, these are still branded products, which means there is someone to ensure their quality. In such a setup, the place of production ceases to be a disadvantage and becomes an advantage because it allows for an excellent price-to-quality ratio. Albainox knives are mostly made from Chinese industrial steels, in this specific case from 7Cr17MoV, which can be an excellent steel with characteristics close to D2, or worthless junk like in cheap no-name products from AliExpress.
